ServerVault vs Laravel Forge

A per-resource alternative to Forge's flat plans

Forge is Laravel's own official server tool — mature, huge in scale, and excellent if you're all-in on Laravel. ServerVault covers the same core deploy workflow across more app types (WordPress, PrestaShop, static/Markdown sites), plus a browser file manager, MySQL UI, and optional mailbox hosting.

Price comparison

Service Starting price Billing model Notes

Where Forge still has an edge

Forge is built and run by the Laravel team itself, at serious scale (970k+ servers per their own site), with deep first-party integration into the Laravel ecosystem, Laravel VPS one-click provisioning, and shared real-time terminal sessions for teams. If you deploy almost exclusively Laravel and want the tool literally made by the framework's authors, that pedigree is hard to match. Its flat, unlimited-sites-per-server pricing can also work out cheaper than per-app billing once you're running many small apps on one box.

Frequently asked questions

Does Forge include email/mailbox hosting?

No — mailbox or email hosting doesn't appear anywhere in Forge's published feature list or pricing tiers. ServerVault offers it as a $2/mailbox/month add-on.

Does Forge only work with Laravel apps?

No, per Forge's own FAQ it also supports vanilla PHP, WordPress, Statamic, Node.js, Nuxt, and Next.js — but Laravel is clearly the primary focus.
